Our "Sweet Baby Boy" Blue Dining Room Paint Color Idea

"Sweet Baby Boy" paint color from Glidden

I used a very pretty blue paint color to cover my dining room walls. I purchased Behr Premium Plus with a lifetime guarantee. I was recommended to use flat enamel and I chose the color called Sweet Baby Boy.

I picked this color by going to the paint section of Home Depot and taking home paint chips. I taped the paint chip on the wall and with my husband's input, we picked the best blue paint chip that met our taste and the look we were trying to achieve in the dining room.

I had a few inspirations for this paint color choice. One, I wanted something soothing and that would go well with the white chair rail and molding that already existed in the dining room.

The other was my china pattern - it has an accent plate that has a similar color on it. This china is visible through my china cabinet which is located in the dining room. Using these two factors as inspirations is how we made the dining room look 100% better.

This lovely blue paint color creates a relaxing and classic mood in the dining room. Along with the cherry furniture and new white sheer panels in the windows it catches everyone's eye that comes in the house. I am thrilled with the paint color choice and super pleased with effect it creates in the home.

My advice is to make sure you use high quality paint and painters tape. I had to tape a lot in this room and my tape came right up without damaging my work.

I only had to paint two coats too, because I used a high quality paint which saved me time and money in the long run. I just wished I had painted sooner than I did, especially since I receive so many complements on how good our dining room looks.

quality paint

I agree with you. High quality (even if pricier) paint is way better so don't scrimp on the paint. In the long run, low quality paint will just wear off more easily and you'll have to re-paint again sooner than with quality paint.
