Distressed, shabby ragging paint finish




Materials and Tools:
Light-colored base coat paint (satin finish)
Glaze #1: 1 part paint (medium color) + 1 part clear glaze
Glaze #2: 1 part paint (deep color) + 1 part clear glaze
100 grit sandpaper
Shallow pan
Clean rags

Instructions:
First, apply the base coat and let it dry.

Then, use a crumpled rag to apply the first glaze mix to the surface.

Once it has dried, use a new rag to apply the second glazing solution, hiding most of the medium color with this coat.

When the surface is thoroughly dry (wait at least 24 hours), lightly sand it to expose some of the underlying medium and light colored layers.
